Best Player Ever..hands down |
My Survivor hero has finally completed the task of winning the title of "Sole Survivor" after following his journey for ten years and watching his romance with wife Amber (fellow survivor contestant and winner!) I was delighted when he finally won this past Sunday. He dominated the game with his social agenda and competitive wins in challenges. In my eyes the perfect Survivor game was played (and in Jeff Probst extremely man crushed eyes also) and I totally started liking the Boston Red Sox just because of him.

{{ can you do the cannes cannes? }}
I love film festival time. Cannes is one of those gorgeous cities that I have idolized for many years and can’t wait for the day to come when I am there. The stars all come out in great versions of red carpet looks, they are all riskier than the Oscar’s and usually much more glamorous. It’s also fun to see the same star try out many different looks for each premier they attend. My stand out stars include my ultimate fashion icon Diane Kruger (with her gorgeously amazing boyfriend Joshua Jackson) along with the sultry Salma Hayek and the usual poise of fellow Canadian Rachel McAdams (along with her equally gorgeous and amazing boyfriend Michael Sheen). Throw in some newbies like Elizabeth Olsen and Mia Wasikowska and some veterans like Faye Dunaway and Jane Fonda, this Cannes year shapes up to be a great fashion sampling. The only thing missing is some Michelle Williams. Award for best designer goes hands down to the chic and simple classics of Calvin Klein.

Ode To a Grill Boy
I once had this friend named Tozzer
He was never anything like a poseur
We had so much fun
On our garbage run
K-Tozz liked to catch flies
He would never let our friendship boat capsize
We made a time capsule
The kids bags were always artful
He liked to make peppermint fruitopia tea
And never let the dining room get balmy
He would never let anyone catcall
And gave me my first bottle of fireball
He freed the Egyptian King
And helped make trigonometry less baffling
He ran away to weld metal
and left me with all the basil

So I am in the premil stages of designing and making my sisters prom dress. Should be lots of fun, this will be my first attempt at anything this lustrious, but I am super excited for the challenge. She wants straples and short or maybe something with a tutu! As long as it is gorgeous and fits like a glove it will be a success! The above are my so far inspirations.

{{ JB + BB = kinda cool }}
today at my fabulous school, we had to watch the "iconic interview" between Jeanne Beker and Hudon's Bay Compnay President Bonnie Brooks. Two succesfull women talking to us about just how succesfull they are. It was interesting to see Jeanne up close, she is WAY more skinny than I imagined, not to mention has major issues walking in her five inch heels. Bonnie on the other hand was just as self important and power hungry as I imagine, based on her lovely radio ads of course. After chatting with them for a brief few seconds after the interview they were both polite and posed for all the pictures that us fashion students wanted. So I leave you with a few words of wisdom from these women "don't be afraid" "if your palms are not sweating it's not a good idea"

Some things that made me smile today; Mila Kunis’s SAG gown, Clay Matthews’ hair, and the Elsa Peretti Cabochon Ring that I am determined to own within the next nine months. I will keep you updated on the progress of that. Oh and I am also obsessed with one day having a room in my house just for my clothes a la my cousin.
